Enhancing Equity in Cervical Screening for People with a Disability

Researchers at the University of Sydney are continuing their work to improve access to cervical screening for women and people with a cervix with lived experience of disability. This year, there are new opportunities to get involved in co-designing resources and solutions.

This project is looking for:

  • Disability support workers
  • Family carers (paid or unpaid)

What’s involved:

This year, the project focuses on co-designing a course for disability support workers and family carers. The course will help support the needs of people with disabilities who access cervical screening.

  • Two online co-design sessions will be held in March 2026
  • Each session will run for three hours
  • Participants will be paid $60 per hour

During the sessions, participants will:

  • Discuss important topics related to cervical screening
  • Explore solutions alongside people with lived experience of disability

Why participate

This is a chance to contribute your voice, knowledge, and experience to make cervical screening more accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities.
