Cerebral Palsy Australia is proud to announce the appointment of Zane Mackenzie as the new Chair of the Board of Directors, Wade Costley as the new Chair of the Advisory Panel, and Briar Tomkins as Deputy Chair of both the Board and the Advisory Panel.

These appointments reflect our commitment to elevating lived expertise and ensuring that the voices of people with cerebral palsy are central to our mission and decision-making.

Zane Mackenzie – Chair of the Board of Directors

Zane brings a wealth of experience in disability advocacy and inclusive workforce strategy. As Scope’s Workforce Strategy Lead, he champions meaningful employment and representation for people with disabilities. His leadership at Villamanta Disability Rights Legal Service and his personal journey with cerebral palsy make him a powerful advocate for change.

Wade Costley – Chair of the Advisory Panel

With a 30-year international career in systems architecture and deep involvement in disability advocacy, Wade offers a global perspective on inclusion. He is passionate about ageing well with cerebral palsy, employment opportunities, and improving awareness in culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Briar Tomkins – Deputy Chair of the Board and Advisory Panel

Briar’s lived experience and academic background in social work and policy inform her advocacy for mental health and disability inclusion. She has developed national workplace mental health programs and e-learning modules for people with disabilities seeking employment. Her passion lies in ensuring dignity and respect for all people with cerebral palsy.

We are excited about the future of Cerebral Palsy Australia under their leadership and look forward to the impact they will make.
