Cara is a South Australian charity working in partnership with people living with disability, their families and the community to create a better life. We have been providing services for over 60 years. The support Cara offers can often mean the difference between a life of isolation and segregation and a life of greater self-reliance and confidence. And our services are also there to support carers, siblings and other family members.
We specialise in providing person centred disability support services, with an emphasis on quality, attention to detail and most importantly value for money. Our philosophy is simple, we assist people in their daily lives with support to live at home, to take a break, to get out and have fun, to learn and to grow.
We co-ordinate the individual services you need, which includes:
- In-home support
- Independent living skills
- Camps for Kids
- Recreational and Vocational activities
- Behaviour management supports
- Person centred planning
- Paying bills on your behalf from your Individualised funding package.
We operate 365 days a year, across metropolitan Adelaide, Gawler, Mount Barker, Murray Bridge, Port Augusta, Port Lincoln, Port Pirie, at Port Elliot, Victor Harbor, Clare Valley, McLaren Vale, Kangaroo Island and the Riverland. Our services are provided only by qualified staff and our quality standards meet or exceed current state and federal requirements to ensure appropriate and safe practices.
We are committed to continuously improving our services, we will learn about your needs and wants, we will listen to you and appreciate any feedback you give to us.
